I've been attending group camping events at the East Fork campground since 2009 - initially as a guest and now as the rally organizer. First of all, I am impressed with the improvements that have been made over the years. Large things like the bathhouse and the first cabin along the river, and little things like the steps at the trash receptacle. Next, Mark and his team are always accommodating in our pre-planning and actual event execution, from site reservations to firewood. We know what to bring and what will be provided by the campground.
Every year, one person asks if we should look for a new gathering spot . And every year, we vote to return to the East Fork campground.
Nice campground. Marc was a nice guy and gave good directions. Clean/neat campground. Bathhouse was clean. Good playground for kids. Flat spots also. We enjoyed our time there and will be back. Short walk to the depot. 2 local restaurants had good food.
Nice quiet campground. Wasn't many people there. Small town nice spot to fish at.
One of the best campgrounds we've ever visited! Amazing location and easy access with a large 5W. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. We will be visiting often!
Wonderful place to horse camp, or just regular camping. Everyone is extremely friendly. Owners are very nice and helpful. Beautiful scenery! There are trails for easy riding along the river, and trails for those who are more experienced and in shape that go up around the mountains with great views! Trail guides are very nice. It’s fun to go to get ice cream at the local restaurants or a quick bite to eat, or watch the train come and go. Also exciting to watch the military jets shoot out over the mountains and valley! They’ll be over top of you and gone long before you hear them! It’s really cool! There are two stores and a gas station iabout 5-8 miles up the road if you need ice or something. They have pretty much anything you might have forgotten! Really nice people in both places.
