This place is a fantastic little find in West Virginia! I was traveling through on a road trip, it’s just outside of the New River Gorge national park and was hungry for a bite after hiking to see THE bridge on the Long Point Trail. Known for their varieties of Brats, (which also looked superb) but I went delicious bbq pork tacos and a Bavarian soft pretzel - beer cheese was on point and the local beer selection tasty and refreshing! Very chill vibe on a sunny Tuesday at lunchtime. Pet friendly seating on the grass as well as up on the covered porch, including dog water dishes! Loved the ambiance here, as well as very picturesque views from the dining area. Friendly service to boot. Definitely recommend!!!
This is a great place for chilling with some beer. The atmosphere was hip and chill (especially the outside area, inside was nice but small). They have board games and goats and lots of benches.
The beer list is real solid, decent prices and free tastings which is always a bonus.
The only downside was the food. It was just decent and goes well with beer, but not a place I'd recommend for food. Had some tacos, a brat, and mac n cheese. The serving sizes were kinda small for their price/quality too.
If your looking for a good place for dinner and beers both Pies & Pints and Southside Junction Taphouse are better choices
This place is the bomb dot com! We only were there for the evening and got some food and a pint, then petted some goats. Really great vibe and menu is off the chain. Get the WV Brat with Chilli cheese fries. 5 stars, highly recommended
Really a gem of a campground. Came out for a climbing trip and the location was within a 20 minute drive to many of the crags. The bathhouse offered showers with hot water, which was such a luxury from my usual style, and having hot pepperoni rolls and cold beer available right in the campground was stupendous after a hot sweaty day. Really fell in love with this place. Also, many adorable and friendly goats to hang out with.
We camped here from Monday to Saturday, it’s a very relaxed place, particularly on weekdays, with the biking tracks and petting goat area, you will have a wonderful time here. The food is delicious too. Bike rentals are easy and fair price, the stuff working there is very friendly. But some cons or improvements desired:
1. The shower areas are not huge, also with only two stalls, sometimes we have to wait.
2. The shower water will automatically stop every single minute in women’s bathroom, and my husband said he needed to keep pressing the button all the time in the men’s bathroom for the running water. These features make it a little hard to shower the kids.
3. I wish we could have warm water in the dish washing area.
4. The camping space is not huge, two vehicles for each campsite are doable, however when our neighbors had one trailer plus two cars, it’s getting too tight. and zero privacy between each sites.
