What a hidden gem. Beautiful park. Clean bathhouse. Waterfront sites with electric only hook ups. Easy online reservations system. The drive in was a narrow country road with large drop off shoulders, but very doable at a reduced speed. Not much traffic. Convenient to Huntington.

All of our family and friends have had a blast at this campground and we are always looking for new opportunities with trips to see the wildlife and the lake is beautiful and also relaxing. Really enjoyed seeing the wildlife and I was able to get super close to 2 wild deers and also they are so cute with all of their activities and outdoor stuff they do with the kiddos. They are very friendly and very easy to make sure you have a great adventurous stay that starts with the check in gate and then they will have extra time to make sure you have absolutely beautiful time when you’re ready to leave the State Park. I am very impressed by how well the service and how much time they give to the people who are there for the State Park stay-cation in their homes on wheels. Thank You so very much for all of the hospitality and hard work that you put into this beautiful and breathtaking views in this Magnificent Wild and Wonderful Beech Fork State Park and all of the great communities that you have created in this safe environment you’ve been able to utilize in this amazing Place. Will highly recommend this magical place for all of you campers and Glampers.

Our goto local campground. We've been camping here for about 9 years now, beautiful place, great layout, nice lake, spacious sites. We love coming here and it is close to our house. Reservations are easy but usually booked way in advance and have noticed while there, the sites that were supposed to of been full, sit empty all weekend. This is bc people book them too early and then cannot go for whatever reason. There should be some sort of confirmation and release if not going to be occupied. Another complaint is the pool prices for campers are the same for the public. I feel like we should get something for staying here as we are paying an extremely high price to camp. Which brings me to my biggest complaint. As others have stated, I would have no problem paying the major increase in cost if the park actually put money back into it. In close to 10 years there has been water added to some of the sites in Moxley, and a disc golf course added which is rarely used. The wifi is only at Old Orchard and if you have Verizon, forget about a signal. AT&T works well throughout the entire park though. Not a huge deal as we like to come here to unplug but nice to have. I feel like for the amount that it has increased, there should be water throughout the campground and improvements made to the very lacking Marina and playgrounds. Electric only sites in 4 Coves are $50/ night now compared to $30 just a few years ago and some sites with water or full hookups are $60. They are definitely the highest around even though we love it here. We have camped at the Outer Banks with oceanfront access for less than that.

We will continue to go but will not be happy until changes are made.

Everyone was super nice from checking in to the guests that were beside us. Plenty of convenient bath houses with showers. Almost every site had water access to drop in with our boats.

This is one of the best campgrounds I have ever been to. The sites are a nice size. They have nice trails and summer activities for the children. They have a camp store and a game room where the office is located. The only downfall is that there is limited full hookup sites and those sites are on top of each other. They recently added more water sites to Moxley which is nice. The rest of the sites is electric only but still nice sites with lots of waterfront sites. Staff is amazing. Before I end, a little advice, do not feed the geese. They are everywhere and they will hangout at wherever they are fed. I have spent a good hour just cleaning up after them before I could set up camp. I wish half of them would migrate elsewhere. I forgot to mention that beechfork also has a public pool. Campers still have to pay full price for pool entry. I think that should be changed to where campers only have to pay half to get into the pool. Beechfork is my #1 campground.
