Traveling around the country with my family and this is truly a gem! Free for two nights! Long, level asphalt pads with electric hookup. Dump station & water on site, again all free. My kids loved the playground and you have a beautiful view of the river. If your a light sleeper might not be ideal as it is literally on the side of the highway and there's train tracks near by. I'm from an inner city so didn't hear a thing once I went to sleep.
This is one of my little girls favorite playgrounds to go to. This is also the playground my sister and I frequented when we were growing up. There are still a few pieces of equipment that were there when I was little, the car, the huge slide, and the horsey swings. Those swings are my girls favorite and she could stay on them the whole entire time. I love that it's right by the river with good views and the picnic table in the shade is nice for parents trying to beat the sun. The bathrooms aren't the best but they are always unlocked then we are there and we can use them so that's been a plus.
Great Venue for Fireworks Labor Day! New boat docks installed. Across from McDonalds and Kroger. Police station close by for added security.
We fit our 38' fifth wheel in the RV spots (there are 4 pull-thru spots) but I wasn't sure I could turn around. We were able to stay attached and fit, then backed out in the morning. Free for 2 nights per 15 days. 30A and 20A electric. There are also 20A outlets near the shelters and bathrooms for smaller vehicles like vans and smaller campers. Next to a noisy main road, but well enclosed and patrolled at night. Nice view of the river. Can't beat the price. One other camper in mid November.
I enjoyed my morning Coffee and got a few decent 📸 of the bridge. Nice riverfront park to relax or delve into deep thoughts 🤔 ❤️
