Between the helpful directions in our confirming email (and not the gps) and the clear signage approaching the campground, we had no trouble navigating to this CG on a foggy, rainy fall afternoon. The roads in the wooded CG are gravel with a few ruts. This area is mountainous, so you can expect winding, steep roadways. However, there’s something special about this campground. It is very tranquil and relaxed. Our hosts made us feel welcome and we have no specific example, but their love of the property is evident. Our stay was midweek after Labor Day so it was uncluttered by the typical noise of weekend campground activity. The CG has lawn games, playground equipment, a pool and hiking trails to a catch and release pond. Our shady, full hookup pull through site was near the barn where a couple of mules reside. Campers who are offended by the accompanying aroma should request a site assignment in another area. Verizon cell service is nonexistent, but T-Mobile was acceptable. Wifi is available to many of the sites, but if it’s a necessity, it may be worth mentioning when booking since the signal is stronger in some parts of the CG. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return if we are in the area.
