Campground is adequate but the noise when vehicles cross the metal deck on the bridge is loud and constant.
Bathroom had plenty of hot water but needed cleaning more often.
The parking and amenities between spots 5 & 13 need to be marked and properly identifiable. As it is, you park and assume that the table is either for you or your neighbor. Yes, the reservation program shows if they have tables or not, but the campers ultimately take over the tables if they so desire. Our "neighbor" was quite ugly and vocal about "their" picnic table when our reservation clearly showed it was on our site & not theirs. They need to separate sites 5 - 13 with lumber just like they have 14 - 28 separated. It's a simple fix. There is no one available on site, or by phone to assist with anything. Even moving one spot over is impossible unless you pay again, online because there isn't anyone to talk to. Other than that, it is a nice facility. Very nice fish cleaning station & clean restroom/showers.
Great view of the bridge, I was intrigued looking up at it from so close. Very different to view it, after driving over it. I would love to see it actually open. Overall the place was nice and clean with a children's playground. However, the bathrooms were closed up and locked... definitely inconvenient.
We only went there to fish. But I did notice they had a nice little playground area with a restroom area as well. We got there about an hour before sunset. It was very peaceful. We normally have our two young kiddo's with us to fish. We got an evening to have a Mom & Dad fish date ☺️. Ha! We definitely enjoyed it. They love going out there to fish just as much as we love to bring them. But it was nice to go as just us and actually fish for awhile too! Nice area! Just as long as people can learn to pick up after themselves and keep it that way! That way we can all enjoy good fishing areas!
Very affordable, includes electric, water at the site and a dump station. Trash cans and picnic tables at each site. Gravel base. Some sites have covered picnic tables. Fishing right off the river and there's a cleaning station to clean your catch. Boat ramps too. Watch the barges move along the water way. Driving access to beaches and other adventures north or south. Playground for the littles. No walking trails but it's large enough to walk around the park. I visited in November and there were only a few other campers. I'd definitely stay here again.
