The mobile home park is taken care of by the people that live there and looks nice with the exception of debris that is supposed to be picked up by maintenance. The RV park is another story entirely. I lived there for a year and maintenance of the RV section was horrible. The grass was not mowed on a regular basis nor the limbs picked up either. Trees were never trimmed and some were laying on empty RV's that management deemed not to fix or look at. I'm sure the owners appreciate the roofs of their RV's trashed because of it. The maintenance workers must be paid mileage for work because they rode around in their golf carts more than actual work. The water pipes are extremely old and constant water problems arising because of it. I had electrical problems from day one with our site. The meter boxes were rusted out on top and when I told management about it they acted like no big deal. If the owner would do more for upgrading the park and current management would inspect the park more maybe it would improve.
People are friendly. Picked up a bike to repair for The Mobile Bike Shop.
We performed our Musical Comedy Variety Show here tonight. What a lovely bunch of people! Those who braved the cold weather to see us had some great laughs!!! The manager, Ron, was very nice and accommodating re: our needs. Margaret, the Entertainment Director, was also quite accessible and gracious. The park appeared to be well kept. And we loved their new cover-up curtain on the stage! It hides all the necessities needed for an active community.
The mobile home part of the park was and is always so clean and organized. The people are wonderful. The RV park is horrible because it seems the manager and maintenance people just don't care. Electrical problems reported to manager seemed to fall on deaf ears. We were actually afraid someone will get electrocuted. The grass, trees, fallen limbs and junked up peoples RV lots was all we could take. Unless management and the owners do something about it then I'm sure the bad reviews will continue and people will avoid Eastgate like the plague.
Economy park with more amenities than many higher priced parkd. Lots of very friendly folks and always an event of one type or another to attend!
