From jct I-35 (exit 189) & Hwy 46/Loop 337: Go 3 mi W on Loop 337, then 2-3/4 mi N on River Rd (stay R at split).
They have two open drives entering this place. One has a couple of small signs stating not to enter, but if you miss the first one and you’re looking to see if the next one goes into this location, you can easily miss the signs. They have tire shredders on the west side. They could have used an electric gate to restrict that one to exit only, but they would rather ruin your tires. Not very friendly people at this location.
We stayed in the RV section and the park was very nice. The scenery is beautiful being located right on the Guadalupe River. A note: we visited during the "off season" (October) and the place was pretty quiet. We intend to return next summer.
I love camping here! Lot of great memories there but this time there was wailing sound that kept waking me up through the night. But overall great swimming spot!
RV park- restrooms are so gross. No cleaning of the sinks or, toilets or floors. Shower curtains on toilet stalls that don’t close, no privacy. Bugs dead throughout the restrooms. Employees only empty the trash. Lovely location, poor maintenance of the property. Sad, this place could be great if they put in effort.
I go to their RV area by the bridge. It's pretty easy to launch my kayak and get it out. Beautiful scenery in the river. Jeff is always friendly and helpful.
