Clean park with a friendly staff. It is not too far off of I 20. If you have a large rig like we do (a 41" 5th wheel) make sure you ask if the site is level. The only drawback is that restaurants are at least a 10 min drive. Our Google maps did a good a job directing us to the park. Even though at first you appear to be lost. Just follow the GPS.
Came here during Labor Day weekend and it was a HOT MESS. The morning was great we met Heidi who was very welcoming, we did some crafts in the Activity Center with Miss Flo, and hung out the pool where a maintenance lady was trying to get something out of the pool I believe her name was Trista (very sweet girl). All these ladies were super friendly. Then we get to the evening time, the staff that was on evening shift was very stand-offish and borderline rude and I believe one of them happened to be the manager of this place. Every activity was late and we purchased s'mores and hotdogs and waited 45 mins, the young man working did not tell any of us what was going on and the manager did absolutely nothing about anything. The glow ride was also very unsafe, we saw kids going underneath the wagon and other guests on the wagon tried to get them to move back because no one would do anything. Movie was also behind. Pool felt like bathwater and had other people's hair sticking to my children. Not worth the money they're asking for now. This Jellystone definitely is not as good as some of the other ones so I recommend staying at one in a different location because there are some good ones out there.
This is a fun place for families with youngsters. Lots of daily activities for the kids, both indoors and outdoors. Staff nice and friendly. Our assigned RV site had everything in working order. Our grandkids had a memorable weekend, and we'll definitely return in the summer ☀️.
9/15/23 @ 6:30pm:
Pros: Staff was very nice.
Cons: WAY overpriced for the condition of the campground. Paid $86. Not worth anything above $40 at best.
This park IS NOT big rig friendly. Sites are no where near level. 40' Class A struggled to get itself level. Access roads are VERY narrow. Sites overgrown with weeds and right next to each other. If you have kids and they need to be entertained, this place is for you. Not so much for adults. Just being honest folks.
We really loved this place. Our kids are a little older (pre-teen) so we were worried they might be a little too old for this, but they had a blast and were entertained the whole stay. We came for a Halloween weekend and it was really a lot of fun. Our campground was nice and fairly level. We did see a couple of campgrounds that were not, but it seemed to be just a few. The campgrounds are close together, so that's the only negative but we expected that at a site like this. We pull a 32' trailer and had no issues navigating the park. With the circular set up, you are never far away from the activity so that was nice as well. We will be back.
