Margaritaville

I’m a fan of Margaritaville at Lake Lanier over the summer completely. However, their Lakeside Lights over the winter was expensive and disappointing. Parking was $20, tickets to just walk through and see their eh display was $26, or you could purchase the all access pass for $60. (for ONE person). The light walk through ticket was $20, but for some reason the processing fee was a whopping $6. I think that’s ridiculous personally?

The All-Access pass included access to some small carnival rides and some extra stuff, but in my opinion $60 was a bit much.

The lights were basically a 5 minute walk through, you got to walk through 4 kinda disappointing light arches and then walk a bit more and see a couple of light up presents. I just think for that price it could’ve been a bit more.

It was super nice for kids to come though. Every family I saw seemed to enjoy it, but it just could’ve been more.

Called to ask about snow tubing specifically and was told it was open, paid $54.99/ per person only to get there and stand in an hour and half long line to do snow tubing ONCE, the employee did not have the courtesy to mention that they are backed up when I expressed my concern if we will get to actually go on the ride. They were also still selling people tickets at the gate not mentioning the long line, worth mentioning that snow tubing is the main attraction in winter in this place, nothing else is worth the $54.99, rip off, avoid this place.

We visited for the snow attractions since Stone Mountain isn't doing their snow stuff this year.

This is our first time visiting.

Cons: We went and spent almost $350 for 2 adults and 2 children to enter, then another $20 for a "resort fee" to enter. We won't be back at these prices, it wasn't worth it.

I don't exactly remember how much per person the food was, but we also spent another $100 on 2 chicken finger baskets meals and 2 chicken filly meals We asked the staff if we could exit the park and come back without being charged a resort fee again. We got blank stares and told they didn't know since it's a different company at the front entrance (??)

I also called before we drove 2 hours to ask if they shut down the park due to rain and the staff member didn't know 😑

The light show was an extra charge and was underwhelming.

It was drizzling today, so most of the rides were also shut down.

We did the blizzard mountain, and a few employees(teens) were on the phone the whole time, if there was an emergency or issue, they wouldn't have noticed.

The wave pool snow area is icy, slippery. There isn't much they can do about it since it's artificial snow, but there are no employees monitoring for safety either. We watched several people falling on the wave pool concrete.

Pros:

The kids enjoyed blizzard mountain and the wave pool snow area.

The wave pool area had snow ball making toys which made snow ball fights fun.

The few rides they did get to ride seemed to let them ride for extended time, not just a quick 60 seconds.
