From jct Hwy 85 & US 6/Hwy 7: Go 2 mi S on Hwy-7, then 1/4 mi E on Marvin Rd.
Rainy Friday night and Saturday morning till noon. Overall good park. Need more showers and bathrooms in camping areas. Had hard time finding port a potty close to campsite. Only showers in front of park. Would need to drive to the showers in front and back to campsite.
Stayed here August 4th-6th and was pretty dissapointed. 15 years ago, wildwood was the coolest place to be. Now it is just run down and ignored. Brought my 7 yr old and 4 yr old and was disappointed on so many levels. Any detail of entertainment for kids looked like it hasn't had maintenance in years. The playground, half of it the wood is rotted, multiple swings broke and just hanging there, and so many missing parts. 2 pools, 1 was empty.. the other was green and the diving boards were removed. The arcade was 2 pool tables and ski ball, when it used to have racing machines and many more. And then the put put looked so ignored it was sad. Aside all of that we still had a good time enjoying live music and a food truck but was then again dissapointed at the lack of noise ordinance. Both nights were spent tossing and turning listening to what seemed to be partying at multiple sights until the middle of the night. Over all, probably wouldn't come back unless some TLC was put into the place.
Owner is extremely rude. He has new laws daily. Can’t use golf carts but golf carts are driving their roads continuously. Can’t use little kids carts or scooters even though scooters are registered and licensed! The one pool left is disgusting and there are according to the owner, people watching and reporting you! I started going here when I was 13. And now 71 and will never come back. The old owners were awesome but the new ones seem to not want any business at all. Came here for a birthday weekend and rented two lots so we could have one for golf carts and scoter and kids little vehicles and was told we can’t use any of them even though they knew ahead of time that was why we rented extra lot! They gladly took our money though! Don’t come here because it’s not at all a fun place to be unless you want to be verbally abused and threatened daily with new laws!!!! Awful place!!! Before It was hard to get a permanent site here but with people leaving all the time it’s easy now!! Gee I wonder why???
This is sad for me to write as when I was child this was the place to go. I was excited to take my son and share that experience but I was sadly VERY disappointed. Although my site is secluded and tucked away in a nice spot, the permanent spots run this place. My four year old not allowed to ride his power wheels on the road even while supervised by an adult to the playground. Their reasoning is because front loaders and log trucks can’t see them… so I guess my son can not walk on the roads either because he is the same height as the power wheels.. although golf carts are allowed to drive all over the camp ground….
The rules do not even specify powerwheels.
The playground is run down and a muddy mess, some of the structures are soft as if the wood is about to break. Swings are broke, equipment is missing from playground.
The pool is gross only 1 pool is running and it is green and disgusting. The life guard seemed as if she hated life and didn’t want to be there.
There is no hours posted for the office so you never know when to expect them in there.
Looks to have a cute ice cream parlor for kids to get some ice cream, hours posted says “4-9” depending on weather and service. No days….
There are no advertisements of events or gatherings for inside the campground.
The shower house is neglected and showers are gross, water is cold.
Arcade room is hit or miss if it is open or not
Overall very unorganized, not family oriented.
I wouldn’t say it’s much of a family campsite. Would be better suited for people with no kids and who like to sit and complain about others. 😔🤷🏼♀️
Off to a new camp ground next year.
Spent 3 years here. First year was on a small lot and electrical wasn't sufficient and I couldn't run AC with any other electrical device like a microwave or air fryer without tripping a breaker and it has been that way long before I got on the row of lots because I talked to someone else that was on that row. Year 2 got on a nice big lot and neighbors were always nice there. Diving boards were removed at the beginning of 2023 and that was the selling point right there for me. I heard something with insurance and someone supposedly got hurt but hey, owners were able to reallocate freed up funds and get an ice cream shack in there to make, possibly, more money than the diving boards brought in. The pool was the best amenity and it would be closed at any given time due to no lifeguard, even on a holiday weekend! They want 3 dollars per day to run A/C which is more than it cost to cool down our home and should be included in our membership fee but no. Membership has gone up about 300 since I started going there and not to mention you have to pay for guests daily. 🙄 went to turn in my key cards for gate to get my 60 bucks and I have to give a2 week notice like it's a job and have a spotless lot... sorry folks my lot wasn't spotless when I got there and my brother's wasn't either and he didn't give a 2 week notice and got his money. It's all about the almighty buck here folks. I'm glad
We're out, we'll miss the friends we made there but too high a price for too little. Talking about money if you have over 2 children and 2 adults in your family you'll pay an extra 40 per child under 18 and 60 for 18 and over. Do your research before landing here! I'm amazed at the 4.3 star rating since I got 3 years of experience there and seeing all the 1 star reviews before mine......
