At Sparkman Lake, we are a small family owned and operated business, private little get-a-way spot, and a place you "can get lost for a little while".
Nestled in the hills of Monroe County, Ohio, Sparkman Lake (approx. 3 acres) sits on 40+ acres of wooden area directly off State Route 145. We are located between Malaga & Miltonsburg. Sitting just a few miles away from the intersection with State Route 800 in Malaga, Ohio. The site offers 5 fully furnished cozy rustic rental cabins, a 4 bedroom rental lodge & 12 RV full hook-up lots. Individual parking is available at each lot. There is access to WIFI on the property and the Cabins & Lodge have DirecTV.
We took over in December of 2018. We are constantly upgrading our property and completing projects to help improve our beautiful piece of land. It started with some simple property clean up, clearing brush, fixing broken structures, and adding stone for instant transformations.
Our goal is to offer our community a local place to visit and enjoy themselves, the great outdoors, fishing, pedal boating and sitting around a campfire. As well as a close option to stay when you visit our wonderful county. We hope to continue providing this service.
Great place to camp! They also have cabins and a lodge with rooms. Pat and Lauren are great people. I would recommend this campground to anyone that needs a good spot to get away. Whether it be for a weekend or long term.
We were there for 3 nights and had a fabulous time. We fished and caught Blue Gill, Sunfish, Crappie and Bass and tons of them. While there we took a morning hike at Monroe Lake, but could not wait to get back to the cozy Cabin and awesome peacefulness of Sparkman Lake. We are already planning our next visit at which time we are going to take advantage of the paddle boat rentals.... just ran out of time! Thanks Pat, Lauren, Freya and Mitchell for a wonderful 3 day getaway.
We had an awesome time at Sparkman Lake. My sister and I came out from Philadelphia for a family party and stayed in Cabin 4. The cabin was clean. The beds were so comfortable. Hosts were amazing. We will be coming back soon!! 100% if you want the beauty and peace of the outdoors with all the daily luxuries of home, this is the place. I would just say bring your favorite camping chair for the fire.
Best camp ground I have been at. They make you feel right at home! Very nice lake! Couldn’t ask for better people.
We stayed there for 3.5 months in our camper with fullbhook ups. This place was awesome! The owners are super! Friends came to visit and stayed in a cabin which are very comfortable!
