A wonderful place to fish for a couple hours or all day.. we love to come here and spend a Saturday or Sunday away in the water.
My parents found this place and brought my sister and I and the dog here to go camping when we were kids.
The place still hasn’t changed. It’s a beautiful place to camp and escape the city life.
It's my all time favorite place to be. I have been going there for over 40 years. A great place to camp, relax and fish.
I went to visit family that camped for the weekend. Its peaceful and can camp right at the lake but people are camping onto of each other. The fire ring outside ur camper door isn't urs it's the neighboring campsites and urs is further away beside ur camper. Plus older seasonal campers complain until u move ur camper how they want even if it's already set up. Bathrooms are cleaner than most campsites and lakes...I was surprised.
Great place to spend a couple of days camping and kayaking on this quiet, family friendly, 10hp max lake. The campground manager, Mark, was extremely welcoming and helpful, and the seasonal residents were friendly and quiet. We pulled in late with our camper, without a reservation; it was already dark, and we couldn't easily identify open sites. One of the seasonal campers assisted us and offer to help in any way... thank you Russ! We ended up with a nice site. Sites offer electric only. The manager is working hard to bring this park up to date. There are lots of boat docks and pontoon boats to rent. Huge fish to be caught, like 40 lbs muskee! There is rumor of a monster in the lake; we couldn't find him. There is definitely work that needs to be done in the shower house and bathrooms, but that is the only negative that we could find. Make a reservation! There are limited spots. If you are tent camping choose site #9 on the lake. As for the kayaking: we paddled along the north shoreline out and back 10 miles on day 1. On day 2 we drove to the North Fork Marina and paddled the southern shoreline for another 10 miles. We loved all the fingers we explored on the north fork and enjoy the beautiful scenery along the south shore.
