Super friendly and helpful. Made our kayak trip fun and reasonable.
Sunday was my first and last time going here . The water was extremely low and the staff clearly waited until after we paid to tell us this . Our kayaks got stuck a dozen times and we had to get out on the slippery walls and walk , we almost got caught in exposed barbed wire and one of the inflatable kayaks we brought popped. Totally in professional and not safe .
This past Sunday. We go at least once a year every year but we missed last year due to Covid-19. I almost always see bald eagles. This time we seen a younger juvenile that was getting his white in his head and tail but was still mottled. He circled over us low several times. When we were sure he had left he came back again.
Nice relaxing float down the Paint Creek. We were the only ones on this trip but eventually caught up with some others dropped off an hour before us.
Always a great time! But some updates from the last time I was there. Website does not get updated. Call if you're wondering about anything.
They are only doing the 6 miles since covid could change at any time. But keep it in mind. The 11 and 19mile are only allowed to be started at 9am when they open. So make sure to call the day before to ask any questions.
The prices are right online but I just wanna say I loved it. I always do. Great staff wonderful creek and even if it was hard to just cruise on through yesterday but that is fine. Also they have these things I call mini rapids which are just some rocks you got to navigate through.
Stay safe have fun!
This trip owes me nothing! It was absolutely wonderful being out there on the water. It took us a little under 4 hours to travel 6.25 mi. The water was fairly low, and it was an easy going trip. The water did most of the work, and we only used our paddles to overcome some minor rocks and fallen trees in a couple spots. They were easy to maneuver; and, the sun was absolutely radiant. Staff were amazing too.
