Thanks to Teresa, blue shirt, Dave and those I didn't meet behind the scenes at
Whispering pines camping estates.
20 short minutes from the beautiful waterfalls and other trails at Rickett's Glen state park.
The feel is relaxed but very efficient.
Wood is what makes a lot of the camping experience for me. Teresa offered well seasoned wood at 3 different size/price points. We opted for the huge cart for an absolutely reasonable price, then, " I can deliver it to your site if you want. " We wanted!
That's just one story.
Great place. Stay here. Make your own stories!

Just stayed at Whispering Pines for a long weekend. This campground was really nice. VERY quiet campground. Very secluded. Lots of beautiful farm country surrounding it. Mostly seasonal sites but there were several weekend sites. The sites are big, well shaded and grassy. The restrooms were clean. If you use the showers you will need quarters. The campground store was pretty small but had all the essentials if you forgot something. It was about 20 minutes from Ricketts Glenn state park. There were several wineries close as well. The owners Theresa and David were friendly and helpful. It has a small pool too. Looking forward to future camping trips at this really well kept campground...Debi R
We stayed with a 19 foot travel trailer 3 nights Mon-Wed. Despite the rain we really enjoyed this campgroung. Hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Large sites which we like! Campground was quiet which could be due to weekenders not being there - there are a lot of seasonal campers. Lots of things provided for families to do like horseshoes, volleyball, pond, fishing, ping pong and small game room.
Bathrooms were clean. We stayed there to access Ricketts Glen for hiking and it was convenient for that. We also had one dog and that was not a problem. Loved our stay and would go again.
My husband and I and two dogs reserved a site for 4 nights. When we called, we explained we have 2 large well-behaved dogs. The owner said she would give us a site at the end of the campground. It was a huge site which felt isolated from the rest of the campground. View of the pond with woods behind and beside us. We got to fish, saw deer every day. It was very relaxing. The owners are helpful and pleasant. If you have a large family or camp in groups and want to “party,” this may not be the place for you. But, if you are like us and want to just sit back and relax without golf carts zooming by......it is the perfect place. Well maintained. We will be back! Thanks!
We were planning on staying here for about a month but our forever home was not ready for us to move to so we extended our stay for almost 3 months. Teresa & her husband are great! Everything on the site was clean and well maintained. The pool was always clean same with the bathhouse. We had a great first time rv living here. I am glad we stayed here and would highly recommend Whispering Pines.
