From US 322, near the top of Seven Mountains, follow signs for Poe Valley State Park. On Big Poe Road, continue past Poe Valley State Park for three miles to Poe Paddy State Park. Stay straight; do not travel up Pine Swamp Hollow Road. From Millheim, go west on PA 45 for 1.5 miles, then follow signs south for 12 miles to the park. On Big Poe Road, continue past Poe Valley State Park for three miles to Poe Paddy State Park. Stay straight; do not travel up Pine Swamp Hollow Road. No paved roads lead to the park. .
The tubing was perfect. The bike riding was fun. The service was friendly. The camp sites were great. Nice and prepared for a tent. The 4 wheel drive up to see the sunset was awesome. They say fly fishing for trout is great. My guys fished in a traditional way and caught nothing but fun.
Loved this park! Stayed in a rustic site, bathrooms were clean and water available. Scenery is gorgeous, hiking trails are plentiful and vary depending on skill. Campsite was level and clean. Plenty of wood for fires. There is no service, which was great, but if you need it, this won't be for you. Download music, as the radio didn't get a ton of great stations. Will certainly be back. This is a gem of a park.
Absolutely beautiful. Would recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing weekend with access to trout fish
Nice site, quiet, definitely rustic. Which we liked. No cell service which we enjoyed as it was a much need break from technology. ( we did fine on the other side of the tunnel we got enough to receive text once a day to make sure everyone was okay.) The disadvantages is how far it is form anything, the roads getting in out there aren't the best especially coming up from the bottom. Rvers beware if your gps takes you this way. We recommend taking the route from 322 or past millhiem, We nearly destroyed our new camper taking some back road with 2ft water pits and boulders. Another down fall is that the website list that they have sites with water but this is not the case. No site has water - you have to get it bu
