Perfect camping area! No cell service, each campsite has a leveled spot for your tent, fire pit with grilling rack, picnic table, high hook for your groceries, parking spot for your vehicle, a rushing creek nearby, clean, lovely restrooms, tall trees everywhere surrounded by mossy rocks. It's lovely. There is a fee, but that's why the campsites are so nice.
Stopped by to capture a snowy picture because it looked beautiful! Lovely area for sure 🥰
Beautiful park! The lighter trails around the river are perfect for families. The hike up Thick Mountain is good for experienced hikers who like the challenge of steep incline 1000' up to the peak. Scenic historic dam walls were awesome. Will be back!
We camped here at site 14 for nights last weekend. The park is beautiful. So many green mossy rocks and the creek is very peaceful. However, the sites are very close together and tight. We had 4 adults with 2 tents and we justttt about fit. Plus the ground is very gravely (make sure you have a good sleeping pad!) which made putting the tent stakes into the ground tough. Also, the bathrooms were clean but the shower had no direct spray and was ice cold. However, despite everything being close together, it was actually very quiet!
Small park and short trail along the creek. There's a playground for kids. Good picnic place for locals.
