Huge campground. Staff works with you to accommodate and switched our site upon arrival to one next to our relatives. Clean bathhouses. Nice pool although if there is a lifeguard present they are rarely paying attention. Nice dock to fish and crab off of. Some family caught flounder. Kids like the arcade. All around great spot we have been coming to for many years.

Overall, my stay at Tom's Cove Campground was pleasant. The showers were consistently hot and clean, and the staff made sure to keep the bathrooms tidy. They were also accommodating with site needs and requests, which was appreciated.

The staff members were all friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere throughout the campground. The pool was clean and well-maintained, although it would have been nice to have more functional umbrellas for shade. It was a bit disappointing that children were not allowed to have any pool toys, even small diving rings.

One issue I encountered was that the adults tended to take up a significant portion of the shallow end of the pool, leaving the kids to the deeper end. This made it a bit challenging for the children to enjoy the pool fully.

On a positive note, the docks provided a great spot for fishing and crabbing, offering beautiful views of both sunrise and sunset. This added to the overall enjoyment of my stay at Tom's Cove Campground.

Additionally, Island Cruisers, which is on the campground offers a range of recreational vehicles for rent, including golf carts, bikes, and other options. These rentals are available by the day or on a weekly basis, providing guests with convenient transportation at affordable rates during their stay.

Furthermore, the campground's store offers an excellent variety of items, including firewood. This is a convenient feature for campers who may need to stock up on supplies or forgot to bring essential items. Having access to a well-stocked store adds to the overall convenience and enjoyment of the campground experience.

Unfortunately, during my stay at Tom's Cove Campground, I encountered some challenges as the laundry room was closed. This closure posed difficulties for me as I was unable to access laundry facilities during my time there. It would have been more convenient if the laundry room had been open and available for use.

In conclusion, Tom's Cove Campground provided a clean and friendly environment with enjoyable amenities such as hot showers, clean bathrooms, and scenic docks. However, improvements could be made in terms of pool umbrella availability, allowing children to have pool toys, and access to the laundry room or an update to the website so that people can pack accordingly. Overall we had an excellent experience and look forward to staying at Tom’s Cove Campground again.

Forget the corporate chains. Stay local!! Tent sites are a generous size and well laid out. Women’s bathrooms were immaculate but my husband said the men’s bathrooms were dirty. Lots of showers - also clean.

Pool on the smaller side but clean

Staff is uber friendly. Nicely stocked general store.

This will be our campground for years to come

Fun friendly people and great location on the water. Chincoteague is a nice little town and the campsite is right there. We've camped there many times and we're also regulars at the annual oyster festival held there. That's an event worth attending for sure.

I have been going to Tom's Cove since before my child was born. She is now 30 and came with her children. In all these years, I have not seen 1 improvement. Same bathrooms, same showers. The campground itself is nice but in 30 years I would think they could improve the bug ridden and moldy bathrooms and showers. Majority of the employees are nice but a few need to retire or do something they enjoy. Still no laundry facilities, if you are a camper and experience a rain storm, a dryer would be nice. This year I was charged for 6 people, 2 were babies. Never have I been asked how many people were with me. I was also charged for 1 extra car. Not sure I am going to continue our tradition.
