We stayed for 3 nights in mid-August with an RV. As always at a KOA, staff was very friendly and accommodating. There were a variety of spots including cabins and tents, but the area didn't feel crowded despite most spots being full. Location was great for visiting Roanoke, Natural Bridge and area, Blue Ridge Parkway, etc. Store had everything you could want and the pool was open late. Would definitely return.
Stayed one night back in late March and liked it. Bathrooms and showers were easily accessible and clean. Staff was nice. The site was well-situated, but a bit unlevel. I would definitely go back.
This is a great campground in the hills of Virginia! We’ve been camping for 3 months from NC to Alaska and back. This was our last before being home in NC. Well maintained and washroom facilities are immaculate! Inexpensive unless you want a completely cement pad and more elbow room. The pool is clean and very nice addition.
Truly enjoyed this campground. Good size sites, level and quite. The bathroom/laundry rooms are nice, and the staff tends to them regularly. Clean pool. Excellent location to sit and relax and recharge. Really nice micro brewery 2 tenths of a mile from here, great place to sit and look at the mountains. Went apple picking up off the Blue Ridge Parkway and had a great time.
Stayed at this KOA campground to visit family grave sites in Covington, VA, and lay flowers. It's been 2 years since our last stay, and the campground has made/continue to make many improvements/upgrades. We were impressed with the concrete patio sites. The campground is well kept, quiet, and a joy to stay at.
