We camped here for two nights. The park is a nice location next to the Provo River and the Provo River Parkway which is a great walking/biking trail. It looked like there were some sites that were more private than the one we had, which was right next to the trail with people constantly passing by. Next time we would get a site closer to the river. There was also a ton of box elder bugs which were annoying and laid eggs all over the orange jack blocks we had for our trailer. Yuck!
We wanted to just chill on a Saturday with the fam… we got here and it was crazy with people but we kept driving further in and there were less and less people. We found a camping spot at the very end and it was like there was no one there so we got with the camp hosts and happily paid the $20 overnight fee. We had bathrooms, playground, swimming hole at our spot (#10)all the kids were occupied and me and my hubby went hiking around. Perfect Sunday.
I went on October 16 to take a family's photos and it "closed for the season." There is a small parking lot just outside of the park, so we left our cars there and walked in.
The fall colors here are GORGEOUS. So many yellow leaves on the trees and the ground. We saw plenty of places to camp with picnic tables and a grill at each site. There's also bathrooms and a playground. And plenty of people were out running, biking, longboarding, etc on the trail that goes through the park (Jordan River Parkway).
I love this campground. Clean. Next to River. Bathrooms. Across from Bridal Veil. The camphosts were so nice. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience there.
Enjoyed a fall afternoon walk. Facilities are mostly closed now but it was a pleasant evening stroll.
