I was going give lower stars due to The Alpine Loop road construction happening right outside of our campsite. However, this will be done, supposedly, by 7/4… But this is Utah, and if you live here, you understand. Campsite 17 is gorgeous and tucked away with TONS of room. Unfortunately, we had zero idea what the campsites looked like and we chose #1…. Which was directly across from the loud, annoying, 7 am road work. They have the potable water turned off at this time related to the construction, so bathroom faucets are not working and potable waters were all shut off. Understandable though. The campsite is in a very lovely pine forest, so it was actually pretty good with temperature when Salt Lake City was 107 degrees. Camp host, Vickie, is a really cool, laid back woman and easy to get a hold of and nice to talk to. Campsites is basically 100 yards from the Mount Timpanogos trailhead.

Once the construction is over, all will be better, but you will probably want a farther back campsite like # 17 due to the busy Alpine Loop Road. It is a very popular, scenic drive!

The campground was beautiful and well kept. The host was very kind and helpful. The flush toilets were a huge plus and they were very clean for a campsite. We loved all the shade from the trees.

All bathrooms and water out of order, poorly maintained. Damaged asphalt areas around firepits (trip hazard) and tons of flies (abnormally high amount). Definitely a big decline the past 2 years.

We stayed at this campground over the weekend. The site was clean and nicely maintained. The Camphost was friendly and gave us directions to a couple of hiking trails. We had no problems with late night partiers disrupting our evenings. We will definitely be staying here again.

Beautiful location! Nice little camp ground in the trees. Small tent sites, don't bring a big tent unless you've been here before and know your site will fit your terms. Bathrooms were not working, but the porta-pottys were the cleanest over ever seen.
