Great scenery, plenty of camping areas for large trailers. Panoramic views are inspiring.
Nice place to ride and camp. Plenty of wood if you bring a chainsaw but could be alittle green.
Beautiful! Quiet, Cool and crisp right now, as the weather/season changes. The scenery is breathtaking! camp grounds are large, and not clearly marked by any means (other than a previously constructed fire pit) which is nice actually. You don’t feel constrained to any particular area. You may hear side-by-sides and other OHV’s periodically, but for the most part, you hear birds and wind rustling the leaves around you. It’s nice. The road deeper into area where the campgrounds are located is VERY rough. You need a 4WD or similar high-profile type vehicle to make it - no sedans 🤓.
This truly is the best place to go when you need a break from SLC Valley. It’s a short drive up the canyon and the sites are spectacular. I enjoy being outside and hiking in the woods. The only annoying part is some people leave their garbage behind. I will never understand how people can be so disrespectful to Mother Nature. If you get the chance to escape, head up to soapstone and enjoy the sunshine ☀️
Lots of places for dry camping. Lots of atv trails and small lakes to fish.
