Nice little park to drop in to enjoy your lunch at the picnic area. Nice option to take your dog for a walk. Has frisbee golf course, river access, playground, and a small basketball court.
The only big drawback is the abundance of sticker burrs.
Pretty fun DGC. Open course for the most part. The signage got a little confusing around 13 so we missed a few. Worth coming into town and having breakfast at the recovery diner for a charity donation.
Lovely, quiet park along the Colorado riverfront. Disc golf course, camping lots of well spaced trees for summer shade. There's a playground, Pavillion & rodeo arena too. Bathrooms & showers.
Good park to take a rest during your trip to Austin- clean bathrooms cold water- no hot water in men bathroom
Mixed reviews:
It's quiet for the most part. We were the only tent campers there. Everyone else was hiding in their RV's and we hardly saw hide nor hair of them. Which means they didn't get to see the lightning bugs at dusk.
At 9pm, the park suddenly came alive, while we were trying to get to sleep, but quieted back down before the 11pm quiet time.
After living in the desert for 2 years, the dog loved the cool, green ground cover.
Albeit being clean and cool, you'll question whether it is safe to even enter the bathroom. The floor looks like a scene of a mass murder. It needs some serious help. The shower was refreshing.
Also, a truck drove through around 9pm fogging out the mosquitoes. We were still alive and had not mutated into flesh-eating zombies in the morning with almost no bug bites throughout the day.
