We had a nice 3 day stay at Sherwood Forest. There are lots of seasonal sites there, and during the week it was peaceful and quiet. However, on Friday night there were more campers and kids, so it got a little noisier, although we slept just fine. Bath house is clean and the piped music a nice touch. Our site was level, but backing in took a few attempts due to the trees. The are no sewer hookups, but there is a dump station on site, and a honey wagon can be pre-booked for a nominal fee. Walking distance to Pemaquid lighthouse snd beach, but you have to pay to get in.

This is a campground. This is not a hotel. There are no rooms to comment on. This is a camp site. Love it here. Location is awesome, with the very best of Maine all around. Reasonable prices for electric and water on sites. I would use again.

Quaint but rustic campground. Very quite. Camp host & owners are very nice. This is our second stay there.

Short walk to beautiful Pemaquid beach. A great destination for coastal Maine relaxation and fun..kayaking very nearby too.

Will definitely be back! It’s a great base for exploring the surrounding Maine Coast. I was tent camping, and I could hear the ocean waves as I fell asleep. There’s also a great field for stargazing right at the tent sites. Convenient, quiet, friendly, and safe.

I highly recommend this campground. The staff are friendly and helpful. I stayed alone for 3 weeks this summer in a tent and felt perfectly safe. The walk to the beach is a dream and the sunsets are spectacular. There are plenty of showers available and they play my favorite radio station in the bath house. I look forward to seeing the staff and some of the camper residents again next year. It feels very much like a nice neighborhood, you feel right at home. Excellent vibes so check it out and I will see you there! Thank you!
