A great campground, and a truly beautiful location. We had an extra wide lakefront site, and the view from our site, and most of our windows was just amazing. The bathrooms were super clean, and the campground itself showed signs of being really well taken care of. The only negative experience was the seasonal campers almost directly across from us had large gatherings on Friday and Saturday night they were very loud well after dark. Otherwise one of the best campgrounds we have stayed at in sometime.
My family and I stayed in both the new Jewett Cabin and also in the “Glamper.”
This was our first stay at Loons Haven Family Campground and we already can’t wait to go back next year. It is so family friendly, safe, and fun.
We used the bathroom and shower facilities while staying in the glamper and they were clean and very well kept up.
The staff was so friendly and accommodating, and so very patient with our kiddos constantly in and out of the candy store.
10/10 would recommend for a family or friend trip!!!
We have camped at Loon Haven about 4 times now and it's such a beautiful location. The restrooms and showers are super clean. This time we rented one of the new park models and they are beautiful. There were a couple of glitches but these cabins are brand new and our issues were addressed promptly. All of the staff are so courteous and accommodating. Being so close to the lake is a big plus and the sunsets are amazing. We were treated very well here. We love this campground. It's very hard to find a campground where the staff is so helpful and accommodating and the campground so well kept. They run a nice operation here. We will be returning next month.
Loved this place! Call of the Loons in the early morning and late at night, hauntingly beautiful. The Cabin we stayed in has a front porch to sit on and enjoy coffee in the morning or in the evening just sit and watch the sunsets. Full, kitchen no need to pack your own. Bathroom well done, shower only. It had a full bedroom and a walk through bunk room, a futon for an extra guest if needed. They had a fire pit with four chairs and a gas grill for cooking outside. The personnel there were fantastic. Very helpful and delivered upon request your food from the cafe or wood for the fire pit. They had a small store but few items. This area is dog friendly, but you have to check and see if the area you are renting allows for dogs, as not all were. The beach front was packed on the days you could go swimming. Fishing was allowed on designated areas. Friendly family oriented.
Love the campground but the rates have become unreasonably high. They claim that it starts at $75 per night but you are hard pressed to find anything under $116. They offer a ton for families and it is a nice place, but at this point it's just as cheap to stay at a hotel. Camping used to be affordable, not so much anymore.
