This campground is beautiful and clean. Staff are kind and friendly. Yes they enforce the rules but the rules are there to keep everyone safe. Staff are very willing to help out when needed. It is quiet and peaceful. We have camped at many campgrounds in Maine over many years. This one is the best. Many of the same faces are seen year after year and have become friends. Staff and campers are family. If you respect the gift of this beautiful campground you will come back again and again.

I've been camping here with my wife and kids since 2011. Sites are hard to book because everyone books real early. Very good docks for boats up to 20' long. There is no boat launch at the area, but there is a state launch a few miles down the road. Amenities (showers, toilets, laundry) are cleaned every day. Very large rec building where I see campers using the wifi with their laptops. Some sites are tight if you have a large family/house tent. Power to most sites. Usually quite a few children of all ages, and this year, a lot of dogs. More than usual (2023). Otherwise, I love coming here and relaxing, swimming, boating, fishing, lite hiking and numerous scenic drives.

Beautiful, clean, well-run campground. Right on the water, with great paddling and swimming access. Very nice bathrooms and showers, big pavilion for use on rainy days. Thank you Heather! Definitely coming back!

Never stayed at a more beautiful campground. We drove to this area of Maine to escape Hurricane Lee. So glad we saw the mountains and beautiful lakes. Staff were very nice and helpful to accommodate our change of plans at the last minute. Well-maintained facilites. Even laundry machines on site.

Would have put zero star if i could...... Called the office to ask if they had any available tent camping (which they did), started to go over the rules and was told there was a strict 10pm quiet time, which I said was totally fine, I was then told THAT IT WILL BE FINE and that the host didn't want to be woken up by our group, I was then told that there was another camp 12 miles (about a 30 minute drive back the way we came and to call and ask if they had any availability) I said never mind and we will take our business elsewhere. Very disappointed in the service for the fact that we just wanted a place to sleep and take a shower before hitting the road early in the morning
