We have been a part of Hemlock Grove Campground family for 6 years. We were told about the campground by a friend. We bought a fifth wheel trailer, made reservations and after we arrived we never left. We became a seasonal, bought a park model, and will be here as long as we can. This campground is peaceful, extremely clean and well kept. We love listening to the quiet of nature, socializing with old friends and have made many new ones. The owners Jim and Audrey Wakefield are friendly and if needed always offer a helping hand And a smile. We have many friends that camp and always recommend coming here. Thank you Jim and Audrey for always making us feel like we're home

We stayed at this campground several times for 2 or more weeks at a time. We planned a longer stay and booked and paid a Large deposit (over $900.00) assuming we'd be able to make the dates. 3 weeks before arrival I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. Doctors advised I should cancel. So I called and spoke to the owner explaining the situation. She quickly reminded me of the cancelation Policy of 30 days notice.

2 weeks later I called to see if I could book some days as my treatment wouldn't start for 45 days. She told me they were sold out! Couldn't book even 1 week!

I'm sorry, but deposits are to cover the business from loss of business! She did not lose any business, but instead made a nice profit off my misfortune!

Although I love the campground I cannot recommend staying there!

Location was nice, close to Kennebunk and other beaches and lighthouses. Campground was nothing exciting but for a treed campground the sites were spacious. Gated and staff was friendly at checkin.

If you have any trepidation about your timeline, RV condition, possible conflicts with work or family popping up last minute This Not The Campground To Book! Stay away!

I made a reservation a couple of months back for my second visit to Hemlock Grove. The deposit is half down of your stay. Just today 09/08/23 I received news from my RV repair shop that my diesel motorhome needs a new radiator. This led me to cancel my reservation with Hemlock Grove. My deposit of $142 + (one half down) is being kept because I cancelled inside of their 14 day cancellation window. I called the owner, Audrey and explained I'm a returning customer who previously has given their CG good reviews and explained my sudden reason for the cancellation. She said there is nothing she can do, and I replied sure you can, You Are the Owner! Great customer service Audrey.

As I stated earlier, Do Not Book This Campground if there is even the slightest chance you may have to alter or cancel your reservation, They are New England Snobs!
