This campground is a hidden gem. Just lovely and quiet, friendly, fantastic views, well cared for, and all the amenities you might want (firewood, ice, washer/dryer, and hot showers. Been here twice and can’t wait to come back.
This park easily surpasses the other two that we have stayed at in Maine on this trip. Very large sites with nice privacy. Nicely landscaped, very clean and well maintained and quiet. We really enjoyed our four night stay here!
Nice place at a reasonable price. Great little CG. Older place but roomy spaces and good view of the bay. Bath facilities have 2 showers and are roomy.
This campground is our favorite in Maine. We always stop on our way North or returning South along the Coast. The owner, Kurt, couldn't be more pleasant and accommodating. Campsites are large and most have a great view. Several short trails along the shoreline and places to sit and enjoy the tidal bay -- good birdwatching as well. We have a RV with electric and water hookups and lots of elbow room. The tent sites are also great and are in the trees along the shore. Prices are very reasonable. Overall, the best place to camp on the beautiful Maine Coast!
Had a wonderful stay at Sunset Point. Sites are large, private, and very well maintained. The grounds are charming. There are manicured trails along the water, wooded trails complete with apple trees, a floating dock, benches to take in the amazing views, and rocky outcrops to get close to the water. The bath house is rustic campground in style but very clean. The sunsets are absolutely gorgeous when the weather cooperates. The office has a book and DVD lending library, and sells soft drinks and wood for very reasonable prices. If you are looking for a quiet place to relax, disconnect, and enjoy the simplicity of watching the tides ebb and flow, this is the place. The camground staff and guest were all very warm and inviting. I can't say enough about this place.
