About Campground

Timberland Acres RV Park is located on Route 3 in Trenton, Maine just 14 miles from Acadia National Park, Mount Desert Island and Bar Harbor. Locally owned by Colton and Morgan Sanborn, Timberland Acres is a modern park with paved roads and easy access pull through sites.

We have 200 sites on 35 acres of beautiful wooded land along with open areas so each campsite has plenty of privacy. A large area is available to use for group activities. We have over 70 pull through full hookup sites with 50 amp service that can accommodate rigs of any size and length, with 50 of these sites over 100 feet long. Picnic tables and fire rings are on each site.

For recreation we offer Wi-Fi throughout the park and in our recreation room and pavilion, a playground, shuffleboard, horseshoes, corn hole, an arcade, recreation room, pavilion, swimming pool, and planned activities throughout the camping season to include children’s activities, July 4th decorating contest, game nights, various suppers and pancake breakfasts free to all campers.

Propane, ice, firewood and RV supplies are sold on site. In August we have fresh Maine blueberries for sale (dependent upon the local weather and harvest)!

We are an easy 5 minutes from gift shops, grocery stores, restaurants and many large chain stores.

Nice, quiet park. 25 min drive to Acadia NP visitor center. We enjoyed visiting with the long term campers. Bathrooms weren’t anything to rave about. Some locks didn’t work on stalls, hot water went quickly if they were all is use.

We have been to this area many times but always stay a bit closer Acadia NP. Never again now that we’ve found this beautiful spot! Sites (pull through) are large and staggered so you are not on top of one another. We are here late in the season so things are fairly quiet but it seems like it’s probably a very fun and busy place in season. Staff is friendly and helpful and the lobsters that you can but onsite are an added bonus. Park is close enough to Acadia and Ellsworth that it’s convenient to everything.

We made reservations in July to be linked to another couple. Wanted sites together but were told only 2 sites big enough for us were not together but close. They are not close at all. We like to eat together but to far to carry food around. A couple who also checked in today next to us only made their reservations last week and somehow got a site next to us and we were told not available. Also do not think it is fair that the sites are priced the same although not equal. Our site is a back in and just fits our camper and truck with no extra space. Our friends got a pull through and it is twice as big. Our site should have been cheaper. I questioned it and was told all full hook ups were the same price.

Haven't had a chance to explore the place yet but those two issues are big negatives to me.

We rented One of the cabins here. The cabin was very fresh and clean. It was tiny as to be expected but was perfect for our needs. It had a queen size bed and a twin bed with a trundle. There was plates and cups but you would need to bring cooking supplies if you were planning on doing any grilling or campfire cooking. Also bring all linens and pillows from home as well as camping chairs. For the cabin to be as bare bones as far as kitchen utensils and such and no linens supplied I felt like the price was a little high. Overall it was a pleasant experience and I would rent the cabin again.
