I still can't believe I got to camp where I did! Seriously it's a beautiful spot right on the ocean with an amazing view. The staff is very friendly, the bathrooms and showers (.50 for 5 mins) were nice and the port-a-john in the tent section was perfect for proximity. Can't wait to go back.
Loved being right on the water for kayaking. Quiet, relaxing atmosphere. Near seafood, brewery, and groceries.
Perfect, simple midcoast Maine hole-in-the-wall campground that we're happy we stumbled on.
As I sit here, I struggle just what to write about this place. My fear is if I tell you stay here then you very well may be stealing my next camp site!!! The woman who runs the campground is incredibly nice. The views once the fog lifts revealing the islands and coast line is breath taking! The hot water is what I will admit caught me off guard. Honestly I think she needs to consider uping the price of showers from 50 cents to a buck if your gonna give people that much hot water for 5 minutes! This place truly is a gem when it comes to campground. I'd way better support this place than some KOA monstrosity. Come stay here and experience it for yourself!
A little hidden gem on the mid coast of Maine. If you’re looking for high end glamping, this isn’t for you. It’s a rustic and beautiful old school place. The campground is very small and quiet, set on a beautiful beach. The tent sites are very small, but have the best view in the campground. It’s a great place to kayak. We’ve seen the blood moon over the water two nights in a row, beautiful sun rises and sunsets, and even several rainbows. The bath house is a tad outdated but worked perfectly for my needs and I have no complaints. I was able to make a very last minute spontaneous solo reservation, due to a cancellation by someone else. Jennie answered my email inquiring about booking, and promptly answered a few questions I had. Immediately upon arriving, I was greeted by wonderful and kind repeat campers who ended up becoming friends. The folks camping here have been coming for many years and have made it a special yearly trip. It feels remote but also very safe. There is also lots to do in nearby areas as well. I can’t wait to return, but next time with my camper.
