Great place...book it now!

Our family loves Augusta West. The lake has great fishing and is fun for tubing and other water sports. The campground is clean and very family friendly. Bring a bathing suit for the pool! Hot showers with stellar water pressure! Nice little convenience store and game room for the kids.

The sites are well kept, maintained and level! The owners seem super nice and accommodating. It's quiet and just has a great relaxing atmosphere. After having several bad experiences elsewhere, this was a very welcoming change! I would highly recommend.

Nice campground. Our first day/night there was great. Our site was right on the water, and the breeze off the lake kept things cool on a swelteringly hot day. On our second day, the neighbors kids decided they could play in our campsite. When we spoke to them about maybe not playing in our site, the mom got a little snippy, and then the dad yelled at the kids who were in the water in front of our site. (which wasn't a problem- we didn't care where they were in the water) Things got a little tense, and we decided to cut our stay short and leave a day early. Mind you, we weren't mad at the kids, rather it's the parents who weren't making their kids follow the campground rules. C'mon people, it's one of the first rules of camping; you don't go onto other people's site without an invitation.

We had site 15 for 4 nights this past week, in lieu of Hurricane Lee it was a great experience. (especially the most fantastic sunset I have ever seen) The Kampground is clean and well kept. We liked that the seasonal sites were clear of excess structures that some times you see at other facilities. Great store if you forgot anything. Everyone was nice and picked up after there animals great experience booked for next June as well.
