Running Water Creek Campground is fully off grid! Powered almost exclusively by solar and wind energy, we know the importance of renewable energy sources. We also have a solar well pump system for the bath house along with one of our future Airbnb cabins having a rainwater catchment system.
Currently, we are offering camping options to self contained camper vans and small RV's, Overlanders, hikers, bikers, even weekend warriors that just want to get outside!

Recently stayed on our way passing through, loved the area! Very clean well kept and even provides some directions! Still have some service while you’re there. Their amenities are great and well kept and clean. My only thing is you can hear the trains go by while you’re sleeping at night, and can also hear cars on the interstate(especially when they run off the side)
My boyfriend and I camp all the time and prefer the quietness because we tent camp. But this is a perfect location for hosting group camping! Very spacious!
The hosts also reply fast with any issues or questions!
Running Water Creek was wonderful! The cabins were well kept and comfortable and adorable!
Still camping here with my BF and wishing I didn't have to go back home yet. This place has one heck of a super comfortable bed, cozy get away, love that it's all solar powered! We ordered wood for a fire and they gave us more than enough for 2 days. The amenities, for being in the woods, is super clean.
Sure, you can hear the trains, but living near a train track back home, it doesn't bother me and it's not the entire time. Nothing like sitting on the front deck and leaning back with a cold one at a comfortable place in the woods.
Well kept, peaceful, looks like they are even updating things, cute stage and picnic area. 10/10 stars and will definitely come back.
Beautiful campground close to Chattanooga! After a long day of exploring the city, going to Running Water Creek is the perfect escape. The land is clean and extremely fun to hike around in. The owner and groundskeeper are nice, accommodating, and generous! The dogs that explore the grounds make you feel loved and joyful. We’re excited to bring our family and friends to this spot! We’ll definitely be back.
Good place overall, definitely a work in process. Would be really good for large gatherings of campers.
Pros:
Hot showers (heavenly)
Large campsites spaced apart
Very little road traffic heard
Responsive host
Cons:
Loud train passes through at night impossible to not hear even with earplugs (happened twice in our one night stay).
Access road could be tricky for some with low clearance vehicles.
Gate had a combo lockbox that could be tricky to handle in an emergency and it's not lit at night.
