This was a good solid campground. There are some long term camping spots here but the spots for folks travelling through are very level and many of them have good shade. We were here for a baseball tournament so we did not get to do normal camping but... everything worked great. The site caretakers were very nice and accommodating. Do yourself a favor and pull in and enjoy this campground if you are in the area. i can see tent camping here also if you are on the Trace. There is good access to the river. We had no trouble with our 38 foot class A here.

My husband had written a review about a week ago about the quality of the water not being the best. His name is Eugene. He left this in error. We found out two days later that there had been a problem with the water and it had been fixed. We just hadn't realized it.

Again, this was in error. Our opinion is and will always be that we really love it here. We have some great neighbors and it is very quiet. We've been here since February and I told my husband that I would like to stay as long as possible.

Enjoyed camping here. Camp hosts were super nice. I really like the fact that it is right beside the Natchez Trace Parkway.

I camped with dual sport motorcycle friends and rode the TN Dirt Devil.

We discovered this campground a few years ago. We loved the location of beach 1 and the access to the water! We have stayed at beach 1 several times at this point. The last two times the grass/weeds has been very overgrown. The access to the water has been more difficult and it's just not as comfortable as it used to be. We also decided to do a day trip to beach 1 since we love how the water is right there. When I initially called to reserve a month ago, the price was $5 per person for a day pass. I called two days prior to us arriving to confirm and they increased the price to $10 per person! We paid $80 to be there for 5 hours. That was a bit extreme especially with the lack of maintenance. I've always recommended this spot, but pretty disappointed the last two visits.

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. It's conveniently located off the Natchez Trace, but that's the only benefit. Mona, the manager, was very friendly, but she was the only bright spot. The camp itself wasn't even remotely level. We paid for full hookups, but there wasn't a water hookup that rendered the black tank useless. They must've just mowed thick long grass because clippings were everywhere, which inevitably covered the camper floor and our dog (no water to clean him off). I'm not sure whether the bathhouse was clean or not. We didn't stay long enough to find out.
