Tucked away on Sequatchie Mountain, this little campground invites you to experience some of East Tennessee's best parks for climbing and hiking. Cliffs and waterfalls are minutes away at near by Foster Falls, Denny Cove and Castle Rock.
Walk our 22 acres and even take a short hike out to our bluff (excellent sunset spot). Make sure to say "Hi" to our chickens and our barn cat, Strawberry, on the way. Add in the view of the stars and that makes this the perfect basecamp after a long day out.
The campground offers dispersed sites with fire pits and picnic tables, a communal barn with a microwave, fridge, and games. Clean portable toilets and a dishwashing station. We do not have showers available for campers at the moment (for those needing more formal accommodations, we have two homes available for rent on the property, one of which can be rented by the room).
Dispersed camping is $10 / person / night
When you arrive at 4051 Sequatchie Mountain Rd follow the gravel driveway onto a drive road to the left of the shop. Continue back into the field where you'll find picnic tables and fire pits - pick a spot that looks good to you. The dirt road brings you to a barn where you'll find porta potties and a communal space. Water for drinking and dishes can be found on the side of the rear black house. My boyfriend and I drove 3 hours to Chattanooga and our original campsite plans fell through since we got in too late but luckily Fireside Camp was able to accommodate us! They were super responsive and helpful even though we arrived in the evening. I also would like to add that they’re campsites have a great set up and the site was very clean! Will be returning to the 🔥FIRE🔥 Campground again!🙂
Spent a week there recently as a stopping off point over the holidays to be able to visit family. Very quiet, and loved the chickens~ Farm fresh eggs if I wanted, took a walk down the trail to the bluff at sunset ( must do) and loved the hostel. I'm not much for primitive camping but it seemed like plenty of places, fire rings, picnic tables and the shed( common area) was cool to hang out in. There is a big firepit and sit around benches outside one of the hostels so its good for visiting with other folks or friends. Sydney and Nick answered all of my questions and gave me the low down on the area, which is a beautiful part of TN. Its not far from Scottsboro AL, home of the Unclaimed Baggage store, which I took my GF to as a surprise day trip. I will be back at some point when my travels take me back through the area.
We recently visited during our Thanksgiving vacation and Fireside is a beautiful hidden gem. It's blissfully quiet and peaceful, with a breathtaking view of the stars and the mountains. Sydney and Nick were very welcoming and helpful
My family and I camped there for a weekend. Sydney one of the hosts is awesome . My son was wanting to try rock climbing and me being a disabled vet I couldn’t take him. But she made it happen he loved it. We’ll definitely be back.
The most relaxing and memorable place I’ve ever vacationed and will continue to return! Perfect for that off grid get away! The cabin was rustic yet trendy, the trails and Mountain View are breathtaking, and who can beat an outdoor breakfast with eggs from their very own chickens! Thank you Nick and Sydney for an amazing experience! I will definitely be back!
