We're on a roadtrip and booked here in advance for 1 night. Arrived after hours (around 6pm) and we left by 11am (office still closed) so I never got a chance to meet staff. We had site 9, which was a nice site. Pull thru, full hookup. There is a kids play area and a dog run area in the grass field. I saw there was laundry area (never looked inside though). It served all it's purposes for our 1 night. Would I stay here again if in area, sure!
Campground was a lot of fun! Super clean facilities. Activities around the sites, huge playground. If you're hitting up one of the "primitive" style grounds make sure to pack mosquitoe spray! They were relentless when you got closer to the water! Awesome campground, great staff. Would definitely recommend!
We sold our house in June of 2022 as we were going to RV full time . We stayed here for 4 months . In October we left for the winter for warmer weather . We came back in April of this year , 2023 . After staying for 6 months we will be leaving the end of October for warmer climate . However we will be back next April 2024 for another 6 months . This is a small campground in a very quaint small town . It is a very quiet , clean and comfortable park to stay in . It is well maintained . The laundry room is spotless and the park's shower and restroom is extremely clean and well maintained .The park manager Kim Cain , goes above and beyond the call of duty to help you the best she can . What an assett she is to this campground . If you are traveling through Wyoming we highly recommend it . Sincerely , Susan and Richard Penny ...
Stayed here in a tent as I went on a Paleontology dig with the nearby museum. It was great, on par with some of the better State Park campgrounds . The location for the tents was good with a lot of nice shade and a great view of the Platte as well as the stars at night. The bathroom for the campground were pit toilets but the one I used was still well taken care of and clean. You can hear the highway and trains but that is not something that can be changed and the trains do not tend to blow their whistle near by so you can easily ignore them. Overall it was a very good place to camp and I would do it again given that it's probably better than many hotels I've stayed in.
Long term stay during construction project near Glenrock. Very nice spots with pole fences give a sense of privacy/security. Very new laundry room is kept clean and spotless, including the equipment. Staff is friendly and helpful. Onsite propane when you need some.
