The campground is located on Brooklyn Lake. Every site has a view of the lake ranging from great to spectacular. The lake is a nice canoeing lake in the shadow of the snow capped Browns Peak. This campground provides 19 campsites with tables, fire rings, trash pick up, and vault toilets. There is fishing access in Brooklyn Lake and trail access to the Sheep Lake Trail #389 and Glacier Lakes Trail. Internal-combustion motors are prohibited on the lake, only hand-powered boating allowed. There is a carry down access for boats (no ramp). Dogs must be leashed in the campground.
Directions from Laramie: Travel 37 miles west on Highway 130, then 2.5 miles north on Brooklyn Lake Road (National Forest Service road 315).

Beautiful but the improved campground adjacent to Brooklyn Lake means this popular spot is overrun with people, rv's, cars, dogs, etc.
People were complaining the lake was too low for good fishing but there were still people trying.
I will say this... last time we were there was Labor Day weekend. Despite being insanely busy...this campground had the cleanest, nicest vault toilets of any improved campground I have ever been to.
Beautiful campground in the snowy range area. Gorgeous views of snow capped peaks in the reflection of the awe inspiring Brooklyn Lake. If you are planning a camping trip to the area I would check this campground for a spot first. The bathrooms are very clean for a remote campground as well and there are two trailheads withing walking distance of the campground!
Beautiful views! Clean pit toilets. Snow just left the grounds in July ( and its a lake) so take plenty of mosquito repellent for you and your surroundings.
Great spot, with some pine tress all around, you can have some privacy. The views are amazing all around you. Highly recommended
