6200' elevation. 6 sites along Campbell Creek. 14 day stay limit. A very small, cozy campground with Campbell Creek running through the middle, and a wide variety of trees for privacy and shade. This campground provides some of the only Forest Service land available for recreating on the west side of the North Laramie Range. Expect to see lots of wildlife, including deer, elk, marmots, beaver, owls and bats. It is located in the Laramie Peak area and is managed by the Douglas Ranger District.
From Douglas, go 20 miles southwest on WY 91, then 13 miles southwest on County Road 24.
Loved the scenery and the peacefulness! We will definitely be back with more family next time! Fortunately we did not have any encounters with bears!
Very clean and well maintained campground. It has a water pump, pit toilet, and trash bin. Each of the 6 or so sites has a picnic table, fire ring, and BBQ. Sites are better suited for small tents, most areas are not particularly flat. Our trip in mid June had lots of flies and some mosquitos. Sites are fairly close together and not super private.
Amazingly clean campground. Had water available and bathrooms were nice. No one around and rocks were fun to explore
Great little, 6 sites, National Forest camp ground. Pit toilet is fairly new and well maintained by the forestry service.
