Really nice park tons of bird species. And one the the largest trees I've ever seen comparable to a California redwood In girth. Tucked away next to some gorgeous hatch chili patches. Very very beautiful.

Pros: Quiet. Close to water. Nice grassy area. Bathhouse cleaned regularly.

Cons: unless you are good at parallel parking your rig this is not a good place to stay. All sites are somewhat crammed together and can be hard to get your RV in/out of your site if it’s larger. 35 ft+. You are essentially staying in one large loop with all the rigs parked in a single file format. Almost zero privacy. Lots of landscaping and repair maintenance needs to be done around the sites. Weeds and goat heads. Broken walls around the Ramada’s. Lots of ants and spiders that want to call your RV home.

Great campground for RV or tent camping. I went here in October with my family for a weekend camping trip. Online we were only able to reserve a developed spot with electricity and water hookups for an RV for $14 per night, but on-site you can get a tent site for less. The temperature was great, there was free firewood and fire pits, and the bathrooms were positively luxurious (heated, flush toilets, and showers).

We went on a short walk with the kids and found a playground with lots of goat heads and other thistles and briars that they named pokey-park.

The river was fun to walk around, play in the mud, and dig for freshwater clams.

There was some sort of crane migration going on so hundreds of large cranes were constantly flying overhead in huge V-formations.

I will definitely be coming back next year.
