Located on NM Hwy 15; 1/4 mile from Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument
Good place to pitch a tent or stay in the RV no connections clean restroom the best thing is free
Beautiful spot within walking distance of the Cliff Dwellings as well as a multitude of other incredible trails the Gila has to offer. I stayed here six nights and walked around 60mi of trails.
There is a water spigot and two vault toilets that are well maintained. The folks that work here are very friendly and welcoming.
Would not recommend bringing large families or very small kids here to camp. Sites are pretty snug and there isn’t anything to keep your kids entertained here. Please be considerate of the folks that come here for some peace and quiet.
Pro tip: stay on the west side of the camp to see the sunset colors and the sunrise!
