From NM 104, follow the county road north past the dam and the Army Corps of Engineers office complex until reaching the Cove Campground Recreational Area. The Cove Campground is approximately 2.5 miles from the dam.
Serene, could have been perfect without the power generator humming
Great, right across from restroom/ shower house ... but also very popular shoreline camp area...
Definitely a nice place to camp. The showers and restrooms were well maintained and appreciated.
Very open, many available spaces, bathrooms kept clean. The bathrooms did have lots of insects in it in the morning, some campsites are great with grass and some are very rocky. On the website to book it shows a playground, there is no playground. The picnic tables are sheltered so even without trees there is cover. The lake was nice and cool, very muddy water. Overall beautiful, not sure if we'll go back.
