⛱️⛱️⛱️⛱️⛱️ Beautiful state park right on Saginaw Bay Lake Huron. Pristine forest. 🌲🌲Walking and hiking.
🏕️ Campground is across the road from the beach but accessible by a pedestrian bridge.
Sandy beach great for walking. Accessible by wood staircase over the dunes.
Perfect for a picnic. Timbered picnic pavilion. 🧺
Love the campsite, great about check in even if you get in to late and have to check in the next day. The bathrooms and free showers are great and clean everytime we are there. Our site was right by the road and on the outside track and it was a huge site! Big enough for two campers and a few tents really. Great trees for hammocks and not to steep and incline for levling. The bridge over the road to walk to the beach across the street is a trip but it is nice to not dodge traffic. There wasn't water hookup at our site and I believe none of the sites have it so make sure you get that water when you pull in unlike we did! We booked all online and it was a breeze with the site map and with payment. And Caseville is a very nice little town and great for people that don't like atvs and side by sides ripping around like Luzerne. Everytime we are up they have a festival going on! Highly recommend for a quick weekend camp!
This was a nice campground and a good experience! The campsites were a bit small and on top of each other but we came relatively late in the season so it wasn't too cramped. The hiking trails were nice and the overpass walk to the lake was convenient as was having the power at each campsite!!
I didn't use the showers but the bathrooms were pretty well kept.
I wouldn't mind visiting again!
Small state park. Parking is plentiful. Some boardwalks to beach do have ramps for accessibility. Flush toilets closed out of season (we went in October) but had pit toilet & multiple port-a-potties available. Michigan state park recreational pass card needed. We tried to get one at the park and at the campground but no one was around for one. RV spots in campground are basic. Would have liked to see more about history of park as it boasts “ancient dunes” online but no information at the actual park.
I've really enjoyed my time in the campground. The staff is very friendly and so extremely helpful. The trails are beautiful and full of lovely nature. The beach access across the street is great. And it's nice to have the option to take the bridge over the road when you want to go to and from the beach. My only issues were that the showers need a bit more attention. One of the showers smelled like mold, and one bathroom stall wouldn't lock. Aside from those few things, I really enjoy this park, and I will definitely come back!
