Someone posted pictures of the flooding during the unprecedented hurricane Harvey, which has been called a thousand year event. Even so, the water did not even get into most of the tenent's trailers.

But that is just one week, and a situation unlikely to ever be seen again. What makes the park great is the way everyone knows one another and looks out for one another. There is a very laid back, small town feel and community bar-b-q's are common (often impromptu, and everyone brings something). It's the kind of place where you can forget to lock your door one morning and not have to worry about it.

What really makes it special however, is the Park's owner. She lives on the property in her own rv, so is totally in-touch with day to day issues that may arise. Also, she is the type of landlady that will work with tenent's to solve problems rather than letting folks get frustrated and leave, or having to evict them over something that could have been dealt with.

One huge example - immediately after Harvey, she did not charge late fees for people who were a few days late on rent, AND reset the machines in the laundrymat to allow everyone to wash and dry things that got wet during the storm for free.

The park is currently undergoing renovations to add several new spaces and improve existing spaces. I am super excited because I am about to buy an RV and am hoping to move into this park. I have stayed with a friend there and would love to be a resident.

We stumbled upon this park when a pipe burst in our home during the freezing weather. We decided to stay in our RV while our home was being repaired. At first they said it would take roughly 4-6 weeks to complete repairs and I was anxious to get them done and get back into our home....

Now, I am not rushing it. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The crawfish boil was nothing short of amazing! It has been a godsend for our family. The owner is so amazing. The only issue I have however, is how hard they are making it when I have to leave. We love it here.

Not a resort, but a family. It's like cheers, "where everybody knows your name". Reasonable prices, small community, owner lives on site. Laundry, Free WiFi, full hook up sites, wood decks, large dog run. Outstanding outdoor kitchen. You don't have to worry about disruptive, unsavory neighbors because they are required to leave. This park is secluded, yet close to everything, including outstanding medical care. As full-timers, we spend a few months here each winter and it's always like coming home.
