We had a great stay at Sun Outdoors Lake Travis. The staff is all around great! Small park but great and at a great location. Highly recommend when in the area.
RV Site review.
Website Amenities Stated the following:
We also offer the relaxed setting of our heated pool and hot tub for guests 14 years and older with adult supervision. Pool hours are from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm.
While we were using the Adult Pool a family with three kids, ages ~ 2-6 came up and used the Adult pool. The kids were very noisy and were running around everywhere. One even tried to enter the hot tub. We pointed the sign out to the parents who called the child back. There was nothing relaxing about this setting. The advertised adult pool was the main reason I selected this property. When we left the pool, I stopped by the office to get an explanation. The staff informed me they had changed there policy allowing all ages to use the adult pool. When I complained about how this was different than what was described on the website, they gave me a card with number for a manager. I went in the office next morning and asked to talked to the manager. The manager told me the Website was correct, but her staff did not understand the policy. The manager apologized for the confusion but offered no compensation. They have a nice property but I was very disappointed on how it is managed. I was not happy to pay a resort fee of $10.00 per day to have a typical family pool experience. We RV about 4 months a year and I would be reluctant to stay at a Sun Outdoors property again.
Absolutely horrible! My family and I take an annual trip to Austin and have always had wonderful experiences at this campground. This year due to a family emergency half of our party couldn't make it, so we needed to cancel our cabin at the last minute. First, we were told that we would be given a credit for the following year, which would have been wonderful and we would have happily used next year. They then decided that instead of a credit we would be charged the full amount as a "cancellation fee". We were told that there is a strict 2 week cancellation policy, and they were unable to make exceptions because it was a very busy weekend and majority of their cabins were booked, which is an absolute lie. We passed near all the cabins at various times of the day and a MINIMUM of at least half the cabins were empty. I wasn't aware that Sun Outdoors or anyone is able to predict when there is a family emergency. I wish they would share their crystal ball because I would have gladly cancelled within the two weeks had I known what was going to happen.
ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! STAY FAR AWAY!
My wife and I are assigned to site B95 which is a back in site. We have a 40ft. Class A and the site is perfect. This resort is clean and well kept. They are dog friendly and they have a propane station. The staff is extremely friendly. Tammy (hope I got the right spelling) is great! she answered all our questions and told us about different activities that they offer. I normally don't leave a review until after our visit but just felt I had to share my experience now. I know one thing that won't change is how friendly and welcoming the staff is, which to me is very important. I will definitely share my experience with my friends. Thank you!
I love this place. The location, grounds, and people are great! You will not find a nicer staff anywhere! Josh, Ben and Jeremiah are just three of the amazing people. You will not be disappointed if you stay here. We were only staying for a few months. A year later, we do not want to leave!
