First time to stay here. Love the cabin! They were clean, bunk beds can fit 5, had a grill outside and pretty much privacy. Can rent kayaks as well. It was a nice weekend getaway. We definitely will come back.
The shore smelled awful, probably due to receding water levels and dead water animals on the shore. The lake is beautiful, though, and we enjoyed the time spent here.
We drove by by accident since the place google maps took us to, for wildflowers, was inaccessible. We saw this park and drove in. The officer at the booth saw that our plate is not TX. He asked if we’re just looking around and let us through without charging us camping fees.
The attractively colorful bungalows that they have by the water catches attention. Beyond the bungalows toward the beach are bluebonnets although not in their full splendor.
We had such an amazing stay at Black Rock Park! Wanda, who lives at the park, helped our group out tremendously! She allowed us to borrow her electric stove and table during the burn ban. The lake is great for tubing and swimming. Just make sure to get a shades campsite.
It was a great stay me and my lady enjoyed our time out here. The camp grounds are neatly kept on a daily basis. They have plenty of restrooms and there is a bath house that is kept as well. The views are very nice and they've got Kayak/canoe rentals.
