About Campground

Approximately an hour west of Lolo, MT at mile post 158.5 of the famous Northwest Passage Scenic Byway and All American Road (US Highway 12), directly across from the Lochsa Wild and Scenic River, rests the Whitehouse Campground. This riverside campground has 13 sites and due to its close proximity to the Lewis and Clark Trail, has much more to offer than just camping. It's an ideal location for fishing, hiking, back packing, nature viewing or as a place to stop and have a picnic while enjoying a scenic drive down highway 12. The Campground will accomodate 30-ft. Super nice camping. Need to enforce 7 day camping instead of 14 days. Let everyone have a chance at experiencing the locksa river

Started taking trips there in 2017 and ever since that have made it a yearly trip to go. The sight is beautiful. I love how it’s the perfect getaway and always able to meet new people.

Great spot on the Lochsa River, only downside is the proximity to US 12 and the associated traffic noise. Wendover Campground is next door but no sites right on the water like White House.

Well maintained quite campsites that sit on a shallow run of the lochsa river. Cedar trees shade most of the day. Fishing is fantastic. Day trips to Tom Beal park and Lolo motorway for massive vistas are well worth the time. Lochsa lodge has WiFi since there is no cell
