Beautiful & quiet place to camp right on the river. Camp hosts were super friendly & gave us firewood. Wish we would have been able to stay more than one night!
The Camp Ground is lovely, the boat launch is amazing…. But as a local resident…. The campers are rude and SPEED on the residential road leading to this camp ground. Posted speed limit is 25mph and visitors drive much faster than that. Camp host needs to inform vacationers to follow the speed laws. It doesn’t matter if they are pulling a tag a long trailer to a large 5th wheel or driving quads/side-by-sides…. They turn our residential road into a race track…. But no worries complaints have been filed.
Of all the campgrounds we passed along this highway this one is probably the best for kids! Tons of grass to run around. Bathroom with running water (not hot or with a shower but at least we can brush our teeth and wash our hands!)… also, it’s strange to say but, the bathroom smelled really good….
Next time I will plan better but even in the rain it did not get so cold to not be able to use a tent.
