Directions

46.5075, -116.34722

46°30'27"N, 116°20'50"W

Coming from Moscow, Idaho:

Take Hwy 8 East to Troy, Idaho (approx 11 miles). Just past town take a right on Hwy 99.

Troy, Idaho to Kendrick, Idaho via Hwy 99 (take left at bottom of hill)

Go through Kendrick until hit a Y section ~1/4 mile past town. Veer right.

A sign will say Dworshak State Park: 24 miles to Freeman Creek, 28 miles to Three Meadows, ~35 miles to Dworshak Dam.

After 1/8 mile, go right and cross bridge. Begin steep climb (Hwy P1)

Stay on road towards Southwick - County Road P1 (also known as Cavendish Hwy), 9 miles (Southwick to Cavendish is 5 miles)

At the Lewiston Grain Growers (2 grain silos), make a left onto Freeman Creek Road. There will be a Dworshak State Park sign stating the distance to Freeman Creek and to Three Meadows (~10 mi/13.5 mi.)

When you get within 2 miles of the park the road has steep switchbacks. It has about a 7-9% grade going down to the park. (The road at this point only will accommodate RV/Trailers in a single lane around some corners.)

The road to Three Meadows is a single lane gravel road.

Huge campground and camping spaces are pretty well spaced, not on top of each other. There is some shade throughout park. Clean restrooms and free showers. Pit toilets also throughout park. Plenty open areas for groups and activities. Some sites have water and power but others are just power.

This is a nice State Park. The cabins were great for us and our weekend stay. The fishing was great The first couple of days. However, the water was being let down and the dock was only at about a foot of water the 3rd day. If you visit this area and want fishing or swimming, you will want to visit earlier in the year than September. The camp area was very slow and the staff was rarely seen due to the slowness. The restrooms were clean and the showers were accessible. The shower house is a ways from the camp loop that the cabins were at but still available.
