This is a very clean, well maintained campground, just downriver from Orofino, ID. There are about a dozen RV sites and 3-4 tent sites with raised platforms. Be aware, it's not quiet, due to highway and boat traffic.

The Clearwater River Canyon is one the most beautiful places on earth! The camp host Jim and his wife Debra provide a perfect camping experience. The grounds and amenities are fantastic! $18 a night FF. If you like Steelhead and Salmon fishing, it's world class. If you have a jet boat it's nirvana! Go enjoy 😉

A friend and I stayed for 3 days at the pink house. Jim and Deb are awesome hosts and go to great lengths to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible, i honestly cant say enough about this recreation site. The sites are very well maintained and grass is groomed and neat, the bathrooms are impeccable and smell great (i know its weird), they are clean from top to bottom, we were very impressed. Jim is very welcoming and willing to help with anything you need, he is always hard at work outside and is just a great guy to talk to. At night the property is roamed by the local sheriffs office, so you don't have to worry about your possessions while staying there, actually there has not been a theft there since JIm and Deb have been there for 3 years. The only things that i can say that could be done are placing seat covers in the bathrooms and BLM could do better with the maintenance of the boat launch, there is way too much sand down there to get stuck in. Other than that its an amazing place to stay. Also if you stopping for the fishing, they are located just west of dworshak fish hatchery.

Despicable; camp host must be a sad sad women. Completely awful first encounter. Extremely rude and shined a light right in my eyes and after I said ouch she said I know right then did it again and continued walking towards our camp spot completely disregarding me as a human being.

Unfortunately I bet this lot is empty because of the nasty rude host currently staffed. Because every spot in town is full.

I hope you replace her with someone who knows how to engage in a conversation not just interrogation and a accusatory mindset.

As a disabled veteran with PTSD these sites are supposed to be a treat and temporary home. But this experience is beyond words for the treatment received upon our arrival.
