We called a Ranger station asking for a good spot to boondock, she recommended Colgate campground. It's FREE. and so beautiful. Right by the road, but the only time you notice is when the odd truck uses his engine break. We stayed only one night as it started snowing and we aren't set up for that. We camped here Oct. 20th. We drive a 35ft 5th wheel.
Beautiful spots on the river. Boondocking at its finest. Approximately 6 spots.
It was very beautiful. Next to a road but yiu can't hear it over the river. And super close to an amazing natural hotspring.
