Good place to get out and stretch your legs. Pretty on the river & we were the only ones there. Kinda cold with the wind still this time of the year.
We loved this campground. We were here for a quick sleep, but walked around the river and bit and it’s so peaceful. I would recommend, the hosts are nice and the place is pretty quiet and easy :)
In all my years of camping, whether in a tent or an RV (50 years now) I have never experienced such a bad camp host. We pulled in and there was only one spot open, it is very cramped and not a visually pleasant CG. The sites 30amp showed an open ground on my tester. I saw the camp host and he cussed at us and started yelling. Honestly folks, we did NOTHING. This was from the outset for nothing more than this person having a bad day. He wanted us to "hook up anyway since another person was there all week.". " If you don't like it then leave!". Wait, What? We did leave and called the BLM Field manager Richard White who didn't seem to care much and gave me the old and tired response "no one has complained about him before" line. Check with your subordinated Mr. White, they will tell you otherwise We went to Pink house 25 miles away and it was an awesome experience by contrast. An amazing, attentive host, great prices and working utilities. If anything went wrong (and it did as in any CG) Jim the host handled it professionally. Lastly, he told us they have had MANY complaints about the other host at Mckay's bend. He stated he witnessed it personally. So go elsewhere, there are plenty of other CG where you will be treated with respect and without the awful attitude.
We are loving it here. Very very friendly camp host. If your stop by tell him hi. We're still here and it's been awesome. The river is so petty. Easy to get to. Everyone is very very friendly.b can beat 18 a night for fun hook up.
May 29,2023 we camped in space 10 in a 37ft 5 th wheel. This is a great overnight spot if you need one in the area. Especially if you're a senior with one of the senior passes, it's half price. That's normal 18 per night, for seniors that's only 9!!
This is full hook ups!
And if you're coming to fish then you can stay 14 days here and put into the river at numerous places.
